DID YOUR HOME FLOOD DURING HURRICANE HARVEY?

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS!

Fort Bend County is hosting a series of town hall meetings for anyone who flooded upstream of Barker Reservoir during Hurricane Harvey. Important information on the one-time opportunity for homeowners whose properties flooded to seek recovery if their home falls within the flood easement will be available.

Upcoming town hall meetings are scheduled for:

July 19, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch (23030 Cinco Ranch Blvd Katy, TX 77450)

August 17, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch (23030 Cinco Ranch Blvd Katy, TX 77450)

Town hall discussion topics will include:

•             What is the status of the Upstream Addicks and Barker takings litigation?

•             When is the deadline to make a claim for damage recovery?

•             How do I start a claim?

•             What is being done to protect my property in the future?

Willow Fork Drainage District encourages residents affected by Hurricane Harvey flooding to learn the latest on this upstream takings litigation. Monthly town hall meetings will provide the most current information on the impact of this litigation on your property, what the county is advocating to prevent future flooding, the timeline for seeking damage recovery, as well as the opportunity to speak with legal counsel at no change about your individual claim.
